Glascorrie House B&B

A Bed and Breakfast in Balmoral

Photo - Glascorrie House B&B

Set in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park, Glascorrie House is a new traditional yet modern house built in grounds which Neil has farmed for many years. The house is situated on an elevated site and has a Salmon Beat below where the River Dee meanders its way down to the sea. The grounds have natural pine woodlands as a back drop and open views across to Morven and Craigendarroch. A footpath can be seen from the house which leads you to a beautiful riverside walk into Ballater.
Our water is sourced from the well known Pannanich Hill. It was said to have had healing powers and in the 19th Century patients and tourists would travel from far and wide to taste its “miracle waters”.
The suites are individually decorated to make you feel at home and to enjoy a restful night. With a wide choice on the Breakfast menu this will be sure to set you up for the day ahead.

"Jan has high Hotel standards which made us feel amazing during our stay, From arrival, stay, breakfast and departure all went so smoothly. Location is amazing in the middle of the country with breath taking views of the Glen. Room is spotless, great attention to detail on the décor. Fantastic quality bed linen and towels. Breakfast in the morning with the best views possible. I will definitely come back and stay next time we are in the area.

The Private House Stay's Guide

Original purchased by Queen Victoria in 1848, Balmoral has been the main Scottish home for the Royal family ever since (Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh is mainly only used for ceremonial purposes). It is open to the public from 1st April to 31st July. A significant proportion of the Estate is also open to the public via the The Spittal of Glen Muick where there is a ranger service and walks up the seven Munro's that are situated within the estate. The closest town to the Castle is Ballater and is remarkeable for the quantity of businesses with Royal Warrants displayed outside.
